Excellent family run restaurant. Really authentic food and you can tell they cook with much love. Drove all the way from London - this beats every place in china town. If you preorder they cook the freshest seafood (my chinese wife agrees!)

What a lovely place to eat ,food was delicious it was our first visit here and we will definitely be returning ,atmosphere was delightful and the owners made us feel really welcome cant wait for our next visit.
The food was astonishing all made fresh with fresh ingredients. Kenny and Debbie gave us the best table service. We was not rushed and we was looked after all evening. Atmosphere was delightful, never overcrowded and everyone is enjoying their meal. I have not found one fault with this establishment. Anyone that does is a complete imbecile. If anyone has any allergies the staff are more than happy to change their recipes to ensure their customers are happy.
Great food delivered with great service! My family wanted to enjoy some exceptional food together for a celebration and Ken from the Maypole went out of his way to ensure it was a success. The food was cooked beautifully and it was clear only quality ingredients had been used. We had been looking for a local restaurant for a while now where we can enjoy and rely on the food quality and looks like finally we have found our regular place. I would strongly recommend giving the Maypole of Tiptree a go.
A real shock, but definitely the good kind. Having spent time in China and Korea I normally avoid Chinese restaurants in the UK as they are almost invariably disappointing, but this place is the exception. The restaurant looks good, the service was friendly and the food is amazing.
